C - Context
Professional learning at SNR7 can be undertaken in a variety of forms and is used to address and hone in on the skills and programs that suit the needs of students and wider community. The personal and professional learning is driven by rigorous data collection and evaluation. I undertook many personal learning sessions run within the school (see evidence A 5.1) (Standard 6.1) which focused on various programs to support student learning. Throughout 2021, there was a major focus on the creation of a safe and supportive school through the development and implementation of a trauma sensitive approach. I undertook Berry Street training at the beginning of this year and mid way into the year undertook a training around a trauma sensitive school. By undergoing a variety of personal and professional learning that aligns with both student and school aspects this has allowed me to build further on my teaching pedagogy in regards to classroom structures and routines, literacy interventions and special needs education. I will continue to build upon these practices through professional learning opportunities to further enhance my classroom learning environment for my students, and will also engage in more numeracy professional learning. Personal and Professional Learning Calendar Term 1Certificates of attainment - Applying professional learning to the classroomEvidence A 5.2 - This certificate certifies that I completed my Code of Ethics training on the 07/02/21. By undertaking the Code of Ethics training, I developed a deeper understanding of my role as an educator and my responsibilities as a government employee.
Evidence A 5.3 - This certificate certifies that I completed my Working Together - Cultural Awareness on the 02/03/21. By undertaking the Cultural Awareness training, this allowed me to expand on my knowledge of different cultures in Australia and incorporate practices into the classroom such as acknowledgement of country each morning to respect cultural identity. Evidence A 5.4 - This certificate certifies that I completed my Disability Standards for Primary Schools Part 1 on 22/06/21. Through undertaking this training, this allowed me to understand students with disability and how to identify adjustments for students with disability. Evidence A 5.5 - This certificate certifies that I completed my Disability Standards for Primary Schools Part 2 on 28/07/21. Through undertaking this training, this allowed me to understand what level of adjustments are needed for these students to access the curriculum and how to collect data for NCCD. Evidence A 5.6 - This certificate certifies that I completed the online component for PAC training on the 24/05/21. By undertaking PAC training, this gave me deep understanding of the work behind the structures of running a school. Looking at staffing, leader levels, school financial situation, student numbers. After the online component was complete, I undertook an in-person PAC training done as a whole school site training session. Evidence A 5.7 - This certificate certifies that I completed the Phonics Screening Check administration guide on the 26/07/21. By undertaking this training, I developed my understanding of how to implement the Phonics Screening Check. As I currently run the Phonics Screening Check in my classroom to monitor and review student's decoding of phonics in both real and nonsense words, this was a valuable professional learning experience. Evidence A 5.8 - This certificate certifies that I completed the One Plan - Monitor, Review and Transition on the 08/11/21. By undertaking this training, this allowed me to deepen my understanding on how to monitor student learning of their SMARTAR goals, how to review their learning with them and how to complete a One Plan ready for transition for the next years teacher. Evidence A 5.9 - This certificate certifies that I completed the One Plan - Personalised learning: A collaborative approach on the 10/11/21. By undertaking this training, this provided me with the knowledge and understanding of how to build up a One Plan with the collaboration of both the student and parents from the beginning of the year so everyone is involved in the learning journey. |
